Trulli del Mandorlo is a nice holiday rentals trullo property. It includes – in the main building – one large living room with a nice "alcova" with a double sofa bed, then a fully equipped kitchen corner, one double bedroom, one bathroom and one storage room with laundry.

Just beside the main trullo is located the first dependance with a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Detached to main building, in a typical lamia, is situated the second dependance with twin beds and en-suite bathroom.

An added value to this Trullo is its enchanting terrace.  This terrace is ideal for those intimate and respite moments that you long for on vacations.  One can also  enjoy delicious dinners amidst the sunset across the Ceglie countryside.

These ancient trulli with pool were recently renovated (2008/9) to the highest typical standards, maintaining all original Puglian features. The large garden area is full of fruit and olive trees of Puglia. The area of Ceglie Messapica is located between the Murge and the Upper Salento: its typical elements include trulli, farms, lamie (typical southern single room square dwellings), rupestrian churches, carsic caves, dolinas, specchie and paretoni (remains of city walls), dry-stone walls, olive groves, vineyards, maquis shrub, ancient oak trees, cattle pastures and arable land.

Numerous archaeological remains of the ancient Messapi civilization were found in Ceglie's area. It had four lines of walls, the inner one having a perimeter of 5 km. The external one had high fortifications known as specchie, which could be up to 20 m and 60 m in diameter.

Villa Gloria is a beautiful holiday rentals trullo property. These ancient 400 years old trulli were recently renovated (2010) to the highest typical standards, maintaining all original Puglian features.

This charming trullo complex includes, one large living room with a fully equipped kitchen, two large double bedrooms, one twin bedroom (which could be also adapted as a third double bedroom) and one extra bedroom (please note: without windows) with a double sofa bed. The trullo is also featuring two bathrooms in the main building and one extra bathroom with laundry in the room beside the swimming pool room.

Trulli Pace dei Sensi welcomes you to the hearth of Apulia, in the fantastic village of Alberobello. Alberobello has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site thanks to its countless 'trulli', incredible stone houses, with their typical and impressive coned roofs, dating back to the 16th century.

The villa is situated in a very peaceful setting with no other properties in close proximity, in a ground of more than an hectare, full of centuries-old olive trees and other fruit trees (figs, prickly pears, cherries and almonds). Trulli Pace dei Sensi has been restored in 2011 and all the areas (outdoor and indoor) have been carefully considered during the restoration with the most conservative apulian style.

The trullo is featuring:

- a bathroom with large shower,
- a twin room with two single beds,

Outdoor there are: a spacious dining area under a shady gazebo (patio) ; a great barbeque where numerous steaks, sausages and fresh fish will be cooked; the spectacular pool is private and measures 9 metres x 5 metres; another shady area with sunbeds near the pool, perfect for relaxing after a swim; an outdoor shower near the pool; a shady patio for the car.

Indoor you can see exposed ancient stone walls along with original fossils on them. These walls are so thick that the rooms remain cool even in the hottest months. The kitchen is equipped with gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer and dish-washer. There is one double room and one twin bedroom with a bunk bed. There is one shower room with shower, WC, basin, bidet and washing-mashine. In the dining room there is a king sofa sleeper.

Alberobello literally means 'beautiful tree' and this is where many of the distinctive 'trulli': Whitewashed cones made of stones, at the top there is a decoration that has some rebellious or magical meaning. The famous white beehive shaped houses of Puglia have come to symbolise the region. In Alberobello there are over a thousand of them.

Their shape is, in part, due to the economic conditions: at the time it was forbidden to build without the permission of the king Ferdinand I of Aragon, he declared that peasants were not allowed to build permanent homes. Since the stones had no cement, in theory they could be taken apart and moved.

What to see

- The historical center with the especially typical quarters called "Aia Piccola" and “Monti”, wholly composed of "trulli" united to groups and lined up along precipitous and circuitous lanes that climb the hill.

- Sant'Antonio church, built in 1926 in the form of a trullo.
