Here we point out sites and interesting places that you absolutely should not miss during your holiday in Apulia.
Castellana Caves - Castellana Grotte (BA) – Castellana caves represent the biggest Italian karst complex explored by the man. The tour winds through a fascinating scenery for about 1 km. The longest route requires two hours and develops for three km among caves and potholes with mythological or fantastic names.
Dinosaurs Park – Castellana Grotte (BA) – The Park give the possibility to admire a splendid open-air museum with life-size animals, faithfully reproduced thanks to the analysis of the fossils found by palaeontologists in all the planet since 1820 to the present day, allowing children to see this world so distant and mysterious for themselves.
Zoo Safari & Fasanolandia – Fasano (BR) – Here you find the biggest wildlife park in Italy. With your own car enter the park, where elephants, tigers, lions, giraffes, zebras….live in absolute freedom. Attached to the Safari Zoo there is the Fasanolandia Fun Fair with many attractions both for children and adults. Do not miss the dolphinarium, the monkeys village and the mammals lake.
Egnazia – Fasano (BR) – Very old resort between Bari and Brindisi, continuous object of archaeological studies and surveys. It was an important trade centre, where probably ceramics were produced. Excavations have showed units including houses, workshops, markets, two paleochristian basilicas, an amphitheatre, a necropolis and an acropolis.
Trullo’s Cave – Putignano (BA) – Putignano’s caves are the first tourist location in Apulia, where3 visitors have the possibility to immerse in a hidden place, admiring what nature has drawn over the centuries.
