A Magical Olive Grove that Cherishes a Historic Trulli, Lamie and Private Pool "Trulli Geco Sognante"
Trulli Geco Sognante is a beautiful farm house that welcomes a Trulli complex and Lamie, also ‘caseddhe’ in Apulian dialect, in the vast countryside of Ceglie Messapica, one of the most refined historic city centre of the Valle d’Itria.
Enriched with a majestic century old Olive grove, the historic beauty of the Trulli and lamie, and the luxury of a private pool blend in perfect harmony within the rich Apulian vegetation.
Positioned upon a small hill in the countryside, allowing you to experience a unique stay at Il geco sognante, themed by relax and complete privacy, surrounded by nature.
During the renovation and reconstruction works, numerous historic artefacts and objects have been found. With a marvellous antique pavement, century old gates and ceramic vases perfectly depict the beauty of the past.
This beautiful country home, painted by Mediterranean colours is perfect for one or more families.
The gorgeous Trulli home, composed of various Trulli cones, welcome a magical master bedroom underneath an alcove, a living area, a kitchen corner and bathroom with a stone shower: from a secret passage, guests and in particular smaller guests, may enter a beautiful lamie cottage welcoming up to 4 children with a unique mezzanine.
Right beside the Trulli cones, we find an independent lamie, extremely refined and furnished, perfect for couples with master bedroom and private bathroom with shower.
Just a few steps away, underneath the shadowing of a beautiful Olive tree, hidden behind plants of prickly pears, we find yet another marvellous lamia, ideal for couples with infants, welcoming a master bedroom with a single bed and ensuite private bathroom.
The entire property is intertwined and connected through elegant pathways made with local stones, enlighten during the night time, when the sun allows the star to paint the night sky.
Included with all modern household comforts, making your holiday a true retreat for some well deserved rest.
The outdoor is further enriched by a beautiful wooden pergola that brings shadow during day time for the outdoor dining table, obtained from an antique gate door and in stone seating’s made comfortable with pillows, where guests will enjoy the hottest hours of the day with fresh breezy air passing along the patio. The outdoor kitchen, fully furnished, with BBQ and stone-brick oven is perfect for dining out in the open.
The beautiful private pool, with hydro-massage, is absolutely irresistible at any time of the day and night. A gentle green lawn, painted by century old Olive trees and dry-stone walls frames this place as absolutely magical, with a little fun for everyone: from basketball, to football, to volleyball, or Messapico tennis games.
Trulli Geco Sognante is the ideal choice for whom desires a holiday themed by privacy in a natural wonder like land, where it will be difficult to part from. Are you ready to start dreaming?

in the middle of olive trees and isolated from noise, in a strategic position ideal for visiting several nice places around (Ceglie, Martinafranca, Ostuni, Matera, Ionic sea and Adriatic sea.....). Ideal place for enjoying the Italian experience and relaxing in the middle of "Italian ancient peasant culture". Location has all comfort (wifi, tv, air conditioning, swimming pool, nice open kitchen close to swimming pool). Attention in very nice details is impressive even in the trulli architecture, even all around the garden. After ten 10 days spent in "il geco sognante" you still discover unique corners for enjoying and relaxing your staying. Night time with lighting system is gorgeous

The Geco Sognante is designed and decorated with incredible taste, every detail thought through, with an eye to tradition and the other to the comforts of contemporary life (within the constraints of the architecture of a trullo or a lamia). I was there with 6 Italian and Spanish friends and we all enjoyed the beauty of the olive tree groves surrounding the garden, and the garden itself, where the main trullo and the lamie are located. The view of the garden from the bedrooms is spectacular. The pool area was a winner: we spent a lot of time relaxing there, the cicadas' soundtrack accompanying most of the day time. In the evening the crickets' sound was the background for the preparation of drinks and dinner in the poolside cooking and dining area. It's a very relaxing place which can be enjoyed by those who want a more secluded experience or those who need a place to visit that area of Apulia. The Geco location is great to reach places such as the famous and beautiful Ostuni, Alberobello (a bit too commercial for my taste - too many cheap, tacky souvenir shops) or the nearby Ceglie Messapica (worth a stroll and dinner in the village centre). The HelloApulia team was also professional, responsive and welcoming before and during our stay. In short: I fell in love with the place.
